The leaves are coming down in droves here in our little town. They pile up everywhere. I love this season and I am even looking forward to some leaf raking. On a sad note, our 19 year old kitty is ailing. She has received a grim cancer diagnosis and we now nurture her along day by day. I usually don't let our pets into my studio, but have made an exception for her lately. She just wants to be nearby, ands sleeps quietly most of the time. Having animals is sometimes nothing but heartache and sorrow...

i'm sorry for your wonderful kitty. she looks to be comfortably resting in your lovely studio.
ReplyDeleteOh, I'm so sorry to hear about your ailing kitty. I hope she finds comfort and peace in your presence!
ReplyDeleteOh, so sorry to hear. I remarked the same thing to a good friend the other day whose favorite dog is ailing...that sometimes the heartache of handling the sickness and death of a beloved pet almost makes me not want to go through the process again--even though they bring so much joy into my life when they are well. It's sweet though to see that she wants to be near you and that you've made an exception to the rule for her. I hope things get better and if not, I hope it's a peaceful process.
ReplyDeleteOh what a beautiful kitty and how sweet that she wants to be near you. It is such a heartbreaking time. My beloved Harpo (dog) died three years ago but a post like this brings the emotions back like it happened yesterday.
ReplyDeleteI'm so sorry to hear that Lotta, I hope she is not in too much pain.. be very very very gentle and kind to her.

ReplyDeletei am so sad to hear about your kitty. it's a heartbreak. they are family, no doubt. we lost our juniper over the summer, she went missing and the whole thing just ate me up. so unresolved. i'm not sure what's worse really. the knowing or the not knowing, the chance to say goodbye or the sudden poof.
ReplyDeletethinking of you all + your sweet kitty. xo
last month we had to say goodbye to our 13-year-old cat spice. it was so heartwrenching. i got anxiety attacks afterwards and it was so hard. still is but i know i'll see him again one day. i look forward to it. miss my big boy though. <3
ReplyDeleteLotta! Such horrible and cruel news about your beautiful cat. I hope the passing will be peaceful and that it won't cause any of you too much pain. I am sending you big warm Swedish hugs all the way from Sydney.
