off to chicago
I am going to chicago next week. I am excited to get away for a few days and to explore a new city. We have several galleries and museums on our list, and the cubs are playing at wrigley field... but I would love insider information about fun and different things to do. Let me know about your favorite restaurants, shops, markets, and other inspirational chicago spots.

Oi! I wish I had more insight on Chicago! I was told by a friend that there's a great shopping district north of the loop, but beyond that I'm lost!
ReplyDeleteHave fun regardless and enjoy the time away!
Lotta,
ReplyDeleteYou must visit the Maxwell Street Market tomorrow, Sunday morning, located directly south of downtown on Canal Street.
It is an eclectic mix of people, cultures, textures, aromas, trinkets, cheap imports, spring yard sales, antiques, and on and on. (Weather permitting this time of year, for more enjoyment go on a sunny day). Bring your camera!
We always visit our favorite paper and stationery store, The Paper Source on the corner of W Chicago Ave and N Franklin Street. They have exquisite handmade papers/ fibers and card-stock. The neighborhood is known for its design shops, galleries, and antique shops.
Enjoy your visit- we will be there in June for NEOCON, the Chicago Blues Festival, Well's Street Art Festival, and the 57th Street Art Fair, all while visiting friends and family. We love visiting Chicago!
Take care-
